Uh-Oh

Bob surprised me last night by telling me he has taken today off. (Friday) He said he needed a Cindy day ;)

Only problem is I have been sleeping during the days and I have my best bud coming on Saturday at 1pm. I'm thinking I'll be one hell of a bear by Sunday!

So the plan is for me to stay up as long as I can today. I've been up since 2am and it's now 6am. I'm starving which may be a mental thing because I have 'Bobby's on Holiday' brain which usually means we eat. Lots.

In the interest of putting up a blog that I can get done before Bob gets up I'll share pictures.

Oh, before shot of the dining room doors. Keep in mind I will be changing the colour but Bob wanted a clean look so he colour matched a quart and painted the walls.

This is the view from the kitchen side of the doors. I haven't decided whether we'll stain the doors or paint them. Until then they stay the way they are. Let's see if I can find a picture of it from the dining room side.

From the dining room side. The track is already hidden but I don't have a picture of that yet. I had to take a side shot because the chandelier which is HUGE is wrong and needs to be changed out.

Man I hate burgandy. Ah well. I have way too much to do right now to worry about that.

Awwwww, how did he get in here?

He's not afraid of the new camera which I'm so happy about. I think it's because I can turn the flash off and it seems not to bother him anymore. So I got a great picture of him when he was asleep. He must have sensed something because her rolled his head and I got this shot. I love it!

You probably can't see it but over his right eye (look to left) he has a lump between his eyes. We call him a Klingon puppy now. Bob and I are used to it but my cousin came the other day and about burst into tears when she saw his face. Ooops. We are giving him aspirin now for any pain. We know he is in pain if he starts blinking and flinching his head. (poor monkey) So now we stand over him to make sure he takes his pills.

Okay, what else have I got on this computer...

Ah yes, the loft project we've been working on forever. The big screen there on the right keeps me from wanting to blow my brains out when things look this messed up.

The colour on the walls is forest green. Another colour I can't deal with. I've finished painting the upstairs (first coat) and we have a new couch we bought for a steal. The problem is I've now found there is a matching ottoman so I have that on order. As soon as I have that all done up I'll take an after picture.

I'm not sure you'll see a difference in colour but trust me, it ain't green!

I have other pictures but I'm on the laptop and the photos are sideways. I'm not sure how to turn them so you'll have to wait for the hallway (I just put the first coat on tonight thank God, the downstairs hall walls were stained and ugly looking - like someone had smoked in the house for years!) pictures. And the downstairs den pictures.

Yes. We have too many projects on the go!

Woohoo, Bob's getting up! Breakfast here we come!

Can I Just Say?

I can't wait for life to go back to what I call normal. I get stressed when Bob is on holidays because there is an expectation of doing day trips and stuff.

Day Trips.

Uh, hi. Nocturnal.

Gah. I can hear Bob getting up now - it's only quarter to 7 in the morning so I guess I'm about to get crackin'.

I think I'll be up until at least 2pm today because my body clock has been wanting to do a flip since last week. I fight it because Bob and I have a routine and messing with it can cause me anxiety. I don't care when no one is home and I'm not expected anywhere. The body clock can have it's due but when I need to be up at certain times it can be a pain in the arse. Last night I took my sleeping pill and anxiety pill (also used for sleeping but not what it's prescribed for for me) to hit the system with a double dose.

The system replied with a 'fuck you' and did as it pleased.

In my mature way I flipped the bird back and took a nap last night.

Yeah 'system'! Whadaya think about that!

So far the battle front is quiet. Eerily so. Me thinks something is afoot.

And now for something completely different:

I would like to congratulate my pollster pall LinnieGayl as she is now the newest reviewer over at AAR! I can't wait to read her reviews and for those who love THE Nora Roberts, LinnieGayl is huge fan. Huge. I mean, I saw her Top 100 ballot people. Let's see if I can link to her 'page' so you can see what other authors she likes. Ah, here it is!

Also huge congrats to Ames as she and three others (Rowena, Isabel and Grace) have created The Boob Tube blog. Since I'm also addicted to the tube I'll be visiting regularly and I may even try submitting something. I wonder if they like rants? I'm very good at ranting. Ask me about the writer's strike. I dare ya.

What else, what else...OH!

I would run around and take pictures of the rooms (note I said ROOMS) in our house and post them but I think I've pushed my luck as it is with Bob. If I start taking pictures he'll know what I'm about. Let's just say there is a washing machine next to my new big screen TV (bought before Christmas), the mainfloor closet is empty and it's contents are all over the livingroom, my dining room table is the new drop spot, Bob will never, never, never NOT eat in front of the computer so crumbs will always be a part of my computer experience (I hate crumbs, they're scratchy when I'm in my jamma shorts and yes, I'll show you mercy and not post a pic of me in them), paper is the enemy and YIKES!!

Bob's up, gotta go!

'Hey, honey! Hmmmm? Oh, just surfing.'

Pictures

First, I'm feeling yucky but it's probably because I haven't eaten since late last night. I think I better get something down or I won't sleep well and it's all about the quality of sleep lately.

It sucks.

Get this, at the beginning of September I got some sort of a rash on my stomach - started out the size of a quarter and in 7 days was the size of a T-bone steak. Went to a clinic (you probably remember my panic with google) and got some cream but no answers other than it wasn't contagious or a fungus.

I woke up with a quarter sized rash on my friggin neck on Monday.

I should mention that during the last BBQ I didn't plan well and we were out at dusk. I didn't know mosquitoes were still around but egads, I was eaten alive. So I thought maybe it was a mosquito bite. Not so much now because I have scratched all my bites raw to bleeding while this thing just kinda blobs there on my neck. I started to put cream on it immediately and now it fades in and out - dark red, pale pink. You can still see where I once had a rash on my tummy but only faintly now.

I'm going to head to the docs today and see if I can get in sometime in the next few weeks. (I called all morning and couldn't get through) I'll go in person so I can get an appointment and see if we can't figure this thing out.

I have to write this so I won't forget, my skin all over my body feel super sensitive and if I run my fingernails over my arm or leg lightly it feels like it's just on the edge of tearing it. I'm not used to that sensation so I have to keep that in my brain so I can tell the doc. It was the same way the first time.

Holy Hannah, the crap you have to get through to see pictures!

Let's see what I have in this computer.

Here is a wall at the top of my stairs to the second floor. That is a bedroom, the door on the right is to my bookroom/guest room, and that door on the left is to a bathroom. Ain't that just a lovely shade of green? Blergh.

This picture is taken from inside the room - very small with a huge window looking out front and a door to the rooftop over the garage - eventually will be a rooftop deck and a possible addition.

And here it is without the wall! That is the door to the rooftop deck you see there. I had a vision of this being like a loft area in the upstairs with a TV etc. Bob didn't get my vision completely but now knows I want the wall out all the way to the ceiling. I want the hallway/loft area to be seen as one unit.

And here is the view from inside the room with the wall gone. That's our bedroom door on the left and another guest room at the end of the hall. I mean, really, there are only two of us. Who needs four bedrooms?

Side Trip! Bob took the wall down in an entire piece (I was sleeping) and I guess it scared Cody and he peed himself. Poor guy. The trauma we put our pets through!

Mmmm, peach carpet. Luscious ain't it?

Oh, look, Amber is at the top of the stairs with her back to the camera. Oh yeah, that's her 'I'm soooo pissed' look.

I have a picture of Amber sitting where the dining room wall used to be. Classic. I'd put it up but I hear Cody barking at Bob to get up so I better get a piece of toast and start the wind down ritual.

Bed time!
