Bad Cindy

Sorry, the last few days have flown by.

No books read.

Lots of new TV shows that I've been watching when I'm up and about.

I think I finally found my sleep mojo yesterday. The fall weather is here and it seems to agree with me. That said, the next week is fairly mild - mid 20s so we're getting the pool ready just in case.

For the Canadians, can you believe that Thanksgiving is next weekend!! I'm not sure the apples are ready for me to make pie with but I'll at least try to make one for dessert.

Tomorrow is the first day of the Top 100 Romances poll at AAR
and I have to admit I'm a little afraid.

As an aside, I have told you guys before about how I watch real life murder mysteries. I'm a person who is easily upset by violence and some of these shows have been horrifying in showing me the darkest side of humanity. I'm currently watching a 48 Hour Mystery about a wife who is on trial for killing and dismembering her husband. What is drawing me is the wife has done video diaries while on trial and I'm pulled by the fact that I know I'm watching not only a liar but a murderer. Watching this person try to force tears is painfully ridiculous and I'm sometimes surprised by the sheer audacity of those who have committed murder. It's like they really believe that the rest of us are stupid. The evidence is so overwhelming but this woman seals her fate just by her act. They show video of her wedding and I'm watching it and thinking 'what a complete actress'.

I recently saw another show where a man was up on murder who took the stand. It was so obvious this guy thought he could charm everyone it was shocking. This guy truly believes that others can't see the very real person he is. Scary.

Onwards.

House is cleaner as I'm taking it in smaller chunks. I keep this up and I may just have the entire house clean by the end of the week.

Bob did all the laundry so now I just have to get it all put away but that's for tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to sleeping today as the last few days I've had to set the alarm and get up. Tomorrow it's all good.

I probably shouldn't have said that. Whenever I think I'm free to be me, something pops up and I'm up at some horrible hour that's painful. Ugh.

Hope you are all reading something fabulous. I'm still adding books to that list of books to be read before the end of the year.

Now I just have to READ!!

Cindy: I'm a little afraid as well about the voting...but excited too. I actually got up a bit early today just to see if voting had opened, but no. So my inbox wasn't flooded with ballots.

Happy Thanksgiving!!! Can hardly believe it's here already (well, mine isn't yet).

I think you have a lot of things done :) and I guess you have the right idea, doing everything in small doses.

It's quite unbelievable how some ppl think they can get away with what they're doing and the rest of the world is too stupid to realize it. Disgusting.

Thanksgiving!! For me, it only means 3-days week-end, but hey, I'll take it!!! :D

Cindy ~ I watched that same episode on 48 Hours on Saturday ~ I believe right away she was guilty and I just became more and more angry as I watched.

I'll be interested to see how the Top 100 pan out this time around.

I bought Lisa Kleypas' MINE TILL MIDNIGHT and am reading it this morning. It's very good so far.

I'm jealous of your clean house. I'm behind with cleaning and chores this week because besides meeting everyone on Saturday I didn't do much in the way of chores. Good thing dust bunnies keep isn't it?

Eeek! I can't watch those true crime things...between the cheesy re-enactments and the ickiness of the crimes, I get completely wigged out. :-p

I am so ready for Fall weather. It seems like it has been hot forever here. Blah.

I hope you get good sleeps! :o)

LinnieGayl - I'm hoping they trickle in at a pace we can handle and with the temps the way they've been it's weird knowing it's time for me to bake apple pies!

Nath - I just came down from stripping wallpaper - it's going to take me a few days but I like getting things done - for now ;)

I'm just stunned at the gall of these people!

Thanksgiving means Turkey dinner and I love me some turkey dinner!!

Kat O+ - I *heart* AHLNO and can't wait for her next installment.

Dev - luckily I don't get angry (I am so on the victim's side so I am upset and angry for them) because I know the jury has to find them guilty. The evidence can't be explained away and there is something odd watching someone try and act like they are human.

On the opposite side I can also see a witch hunt and there was one story that blew me away in that it was tragic and a young guy was believed by everyone that knew the girl to be a murderer. It was on a cruise ship and he was detoxing from some drug and had put the stuff in a NyQuil bottle. She had a cold and I think she took it not remembering it wasn't the medicine and died. That's just my theory whereas the family is sure he killed her.

Okay, I can obviously talk about this stuff for hours (and have much to Bob's chagrin).

Rosie - ohh, can't wait to hear your verdict and I'm jealous of you guys all getting together. Trust me, dirty houses always keep. My house is living proof ;)

C2 - I have freaked myself out to the point of not going to bed - watching the show about Dalmer did me in big time and I was a mess. Ever since then I see anything with his name attached and I move on.

I'm definitely a summer person but I'm noticing the sun going down earlier - makes me pouty. It's raining here now so dampness is never conducive to good sleep. Ugh.

Cindy, Kat -- quick, read No Rest for the Wicked if you both *heart* AHLNO. I love 'wicked' even more than 'Hunger'.

I'm scared to even start the 100 favorite romances but I figure I'll go through my spreadsheet and start pulling out titles then worry about putting them in order later. I hate cleaning house too, but lucky me has a housekeeper (ok, don't throw things at me). That was the condition I made to Bob if he wanted me to get a job. I missed my naps this weekend so I'm feeling sleep deprived. Almost dozed off yesterday afternoon. My problem is I stay up too late but I can't get to sleep if I go to bed before 11. Hey, Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canadians.
