I had a blast and I could have spent hours at the store but I do take into account the person I'm with. Bob's not as thrilled by books as his wife but he left me to it for at least 1/2 hour before he started to hover.
There were a few books I wanted to buy but I figured they might be cheaper if I ordered online so I left the more expensive books behind.
But, what did I buy?
Yeah, I'm shocked too as I didn't like her first book. For some reason this title stuck in my head and when I saw it I thought 'eh, why not.' We'll see if I can get to it before the end of the year.
Sounds like the heroine is experienced. But I shouldn't be judging the book by the blurb.
My bad.
Another shocking buy?

I had planned to try another book by this author but had been stalling. Then I heard about this new series by Karen Marie Moning - looks like it's called The Fever series.

While looking over the backblurb I noticed the books are about one heroine and decided on the spot to buy the three books that existed on the shelf. Hey, if I love the first book I'll be chomping at the bit to read the second so I caved and bought all I could.
And finally -
Nora Robert's books.

And since I was getting this one I may as well buy Bed of Roses too. So I did.
I'm going to buy a few other books but I don't think they will be romance books. There are these books called 'Eat This - Not That' that have been intriguing me lately. Best bud lent me her four but I think 2 new ones have been released so I'll be checking those out online. I've already checked one store and they are cheaper online so I made a good decision there!
Okay, off to watch some TV.
Hope you are all having a great weekend!

Good stuff Cindy!
I just bought that Anna Campbell the other day too. LOL
You have some good reading ahead of you. :P
I'm not a fan of KMM's Highlander series (to this day just thinking about The Dark Highlander makes my brain melt) - but I do enjoy her Fever series. Although I've only read the first two - and have the next two (in hard cover no less) languishing in the TBR.
One word of caution - they're not really romances (which I suspect is why I'm enjoying the series). More urban fantasy. Although there is a romantic storyline, or sorts, rolling through the books.....
There is just a teensy bit of cross-over between the Fever books and the Highlander books. But not enough to bother you, honest! And it happens mid-series. Also DO NOT finish that third Fever book unless you can quickly get the fourth one. Trust me.
Wendy's right, btw, they are very urban fantasy-ish. Did you read Nalini Singh's first Archangel book? If you liked it, you'll like Fever books, I think.
OMG! I'm shocked...Vision in White & Bed of Roses???? Oh dear, I really hope you like them. I soooo enjoyed them (Vision in White especially).
Ames - yep, I sure do - very pumped to get reading!
Wendy - I kind of figured that if the heroine was the same in each book - I used to love LKH and I never expected romance from that series - and never really got it either ;) As long as I go in knowing it's more of a series I'll be fine. I hope ;)
C2 - Okay, don't read 3rd book unless I'm loving the series - then go buy the 4th so I have it ready and waiting. Gotcha - you may have to remind me or do the 'I told you so!!!' I'm pretty sure it was your list of 2009 books that tipped me onto this series - you had the ZOMG!!
Sadly, I thought Angels' Blood was bad - needed to have the entire first half erased - Elena hid for half the book - can't say I warmed up to her. But I will be buying the second book in the series.
LinnieGayl - I think they'll be perfect. I keep wanting to read the 'Sea' series but I get intimidated by the 'epic' nature of the books - so we'll start here and kick myself later ;)
Cindy
Great haul, Cindy :D Did you know that till the end of January, there's a coupon: 5$ off for any purchase of 35$ and more? If you didn't get the coupon, let me know and I'll send it to you :D
I think you're going to enjoy the NR. They're very straightforward contemporary romance :D
Good luck on the KMM books, you're a brave woman :D
