All That Jazz

For the record.

I miss the hell out of reading!

Tonight I was finishing up the AAR ballots for a current mini-poll and wishing that I was reading the over 200 titles that had come up in the polling process. Course, there are just as many titles that come up that I have read so I try and console myself with that thought.

Also, in case you are wondering, I'm saving my Anne Stuart book because I don't know what will be coming out next by her. When she was writing the series I knew another book would be coming out in 6 months. Now that the series is over I don't know when her next book will come out and she seems to keep her next release days close to the chest.

So I'm holding the book just a little too hard and trying to decide what kind of glass I need to make it's emergency case.

How's your reading going? Anything bright, shiny and new?

I just finished Gena Showalter's first Lords of the Underworld book. I liked it. :o) Violent, it was. And there was sequel baiting, of course, since there are 3 books coming out three months in a row (I think). Thumbs up from me!

What else...I just finished up Celeste Bradley's Duke series (that isn't the name). I like her - so warm and funny.

I've been doing a little bit of reading. I don't want to jinx it, but I think I may be getting a little of my mojo back.

I read my first J.R. Ward book (Dark Lover) loaned to me by a friend. I didn't want to like it because I have so many of my own books to read. Unfortunately I liked it and will be borrowing the rest of the series from said friend.

I read half of "The Deed" by Lynsay Sands yesterday and hope to finish it today. It's an easy and humorous read and, sadly, I may have to get her historical backlist.

I have Phury! And a whole bunch of other good books, but Phury's is the trophy book in the pile. :-) I shall get to him as soon as I'm done with Bowen.
