I'm Holding On!

It's almost over but I'm in deep denial.

Summer was not good enough!!

Although I did really well with my getting out and about thing but still, I needed more heat, more sun, more time!

So I'm going to be clinging to the last few weeks for the next bit. I'm not sure how much reading I'll get done but you better believe the minute Must Love Hellhounds is out I'll be snapping it up. Tell me that cover doesn't rock? And I need some short stories so I can read in between guests and plans.

I have one of my best buds coming for a visit. I can only hope this dire stomach thing I have going on will just calm the hell down. Even if only for the day.

My tummy declared war about 8 weeks ago now. Apparently Honey Dijon Salad Dressing is a HUGE no-no and we've been feuding back and forth since.

Even tonight, I had my comfort food and my tummy rebelled. I see lots of toast and water once the Labour Day Weekend is over.

Until then I have my friend coming (mentioned above), will go shopping with my Godboys to pick up some school clothes (think that will be on Friday) and then WOOHOO, the weather for the weekend is showing hot and humid so we'll definitely have as many people over as possible.

On Tuesday of next week I'll be in a Cindy coma.

Crap.

Or going in to get my friggin' Health Card, my passport (it's across the street so may as well) and my Driver's License pictures all taken and filled out.

Then Cindy coma.

Oh Cindy, I hope you feel better soon, 8 weeks of misery is too long.

I hope you enjoy your friend's visit and enjoy the rest of summer.

I am so sorry that I missed your birthday post! I had coffee with Mary this past weekend and she was telling me you celebrated a birthday recently. So, belated happy birthday wishes!

And, yes the cover on that book is amazing!! ;)

All the very best

Your tales remind of why Prilosec and I are on a first name basis. Hope the tummy settles down and you have fun with your friend.

LOL, sounds like you have your week and week-end planned already :D

I hope you enjoy Must Love Hellhounds. I thought it was a great anthology.

And oh, summer... How did the temperature drop so much already?!? Coooold. But at least, it's still sunny.

Lea - thanks! No worries, life gets busy - hopefully I won't get myself all angst up ;)

Rosie - Pepto Bismol and me are tight. I drink it straight from the bottle and have it marked 'Cindy' so I don't get people going 'ewww, what if I need some'. Get your own bottle!

Nath - last summer long weekend so yep, I think people will come a calling. Right now the pool is green - too much rain last week so I'm hoping it will be shiny and bright by tomorrow afternoon for me and my friend. If not, she swims in Lake Ontario so I figure it wouldn't be too far off ;)

Hey Cindy, sorry to hear your feeling so crappy.

Have you been tested for food allergies? I have a soy allergy and have to completely avoid anything with soybean oil and partially hyrdrogenated soybean oil--that's almost all store bought salad dressings.

Tara Marie - I think I'm going to talk to the doc and see if she can set me up for some testing. I know real cream, cashews and pizza hut pizza are all no-nos. It would be nice to pin it to one thing!

And I'm glad to see you back!

Cindy--get the testing done, it was one of the things that saved me. I was chronically sick with stomach problems--finally nailed down the things I shouldn't eat and am much, much better. When my stomach bothers me now, the DH usually asks "What did you eat? Did you read the damned label?"

Cindy, so sorry about your stomach. Getting your doctor to set you up for testing sounds like a good idea. Being sick for 8 weeks is no fun at all.
