Other Books

Frankly, I think we're all bored of hearing about how I can't find time to read a certain book I now have two copies of.

I said I don't want to talk about it!

So we'll talk about the other package of books that landed on my doorstep.

Yes.

More books to not find time to read.

My life is a blooming wonderland people!

Ahem.

Books.

I read and loved Slave to Sensation so I am very much looking forward to reading the second in the series. At least, I think it's a series and the reader reviews have been very good indeed. I believe Rosario did one (yep) and maybe Dear Author (wow, two for two!)

Ever since reading Stupid and Contagious I have been looking over Chick lit titles and noticed this one at the local pharmacy. I liked the cover and then I noticed the author was Stephanie Rowe who should be the same author who wrote Date Me Baby One More Time. (I'm checking the copyright name and they are the same - duh, just looked on her website.) That sold me.

I have walked by Blood Lines many times and the cover always gets me so finally my cheapness fell away and I bought this book. I'm pretty sure this one has been having a positive outcome for readers but I've been known to be wrong. Oh! And I flipped to the backblurb, saw 'Touch-sensitive' and I was in. Yes, I'm that easy.

The Rules of Seduction by Madeline Hunter. Okay, to be fair, I needed to fill up my online basket so I could get free shipping so I broke my rule about 'not having read an author whose books are in my TBR pile'. In other words, I now own four books by this author and I have yet to read an entire book by her. I did recently start one of her books but I wasn't in the mood for a meaty historical - I liked everything about it, it was just my mood. Hence, my breaking of a rule.

Sexy/Dangerous has been all over the net but I believe I bought this one after Renee blogged about it (I think because I can't find the post now - bad brain). I'm thinking it showed up in the AAR Reader Poll at some point also so that was another selling point. Oh, all right, it was Renee's rec that did it because I do prefer to know the address I would have to send my flying monkeys to - just in case things go bad ;)

And finally, I bought this little gem.

My philosophy has always been you can never have too many romance books. Turns out I feel the exact same about design books which is definitely harder on the wallet.

Now if you'll excuse me I have to get ready for bed because I'm trying to be a normal person.

Dammit.

Course, it's 1:30am so I'm not that normal.

Shut up.

Makes me feel better.

oooo, you have some goodies there. That wasn't me who blogged about Sexy/Dangerous. I think KarenS and Rosario both loved it so the flying monkeys go their way if things go bad :). BUT I just got it too so I will be reading it soon. I have Visions of Heat on reserve at Borders but never have time to get over there. I also have Rules of Seduction on my wish list. Who says you aren't normal?

I had stopped buying books for a while because I have way too many books that I don't have time to read. But, screw that! I like buying. :) I think I'm going to the bookstore tomorrow.

I just finished my first Madeline Hunter and liked it a lot, so I'll probably get her new one and the Singh too.

Ooh some good ones on there, I have If The Shoe Fits book as well, I picked it up at the UBS out here...it looks pretty good, if you ask me. I can't wait to see how you liked it!

Ha, similar taste :D it's crazy how we all end up buying the same books - okay, not very surprising, since we all read the same genre... but you know what I mean.

Let me know what you think of If The Shoe Fits, because I wanted to buy it, but I show some restrain - rare, but it's been known to happen. I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy Visions of Heat, although I preferred StoS... I liked the characters better in that one. As for Bloodlines, I know, the cover is what made me buy it as well... However, I suggest you read the books that come before for a better understanding (yeah, it's a series).

Oh, and I hope you find time to read Butch soon!!!

I have Rules of Seduction in my TBR pile. It's the only Madline Hunter I've never read. Obviously, she's one of my favorites. :o)

ReneeW - new coordinates have been sent to the flying monkeys although they really wanted to come see you ;) I say I'm not normal and depending on my mood, it's either a good thing or a bad thing. Right now, I'm okay with it.

Jennie - If there are books on the market I want to buy then look out! I always seem to hit a lull from Oct to March where there isn't really anything I want coming out so when there is something I'm at the bookstore waving my money ;)

Dylan - I might start If The Shoe Fits sooner than I thought - never thought I would be 'jonesin' for a funny chick lit - so not like me ;)

Nath - I do get what you mean - us romance readers love to share the wealth!

ANOTHER series - I don't think I can take it! I just finished Butch's book and I feel a rant coming on.

Jenster - it's rare to hear anyone say they don't like Madeline Hunter and I think I'll really enjoy here when I'm ready to sit still long enough to delve deep into a book.

Cindy!

I've barely had time to go on the internet, despite claims that I'm back in business now that I have my own computer. LOL

Anyway, I stayed up late on Thursday night to finish Lover Revealed. Can't wait for your thoughts on it.

I'm so jealous of all the books you bought. :( I read a great review for Sexy/Dangerous too, so I'm always on the lookout for that one. I'll probably have to order it come June. That's ok, the more the merrier.

Isn't it funny-my 50 book challenge was designed to reduce my tbr pile, and yet I've got quite the BIG list of books I'm going to buy after June. I'm so backwards. Oh well.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Ames - but is your TBB list 50 titles long? My TBB lists are fairly short so I think reading 50 books in 6 months would definitely cause some anxiety - I would have to buy enough books to cover the ones I read! You have been doing super well and I'm in awe of your willpower! You go girl!!

Hope you have a great weekend also!

LOL My TBB list is not quite that long, but it's only March. We'll see how long it can get by June. hehe
