Just The Crap Please

I've got more of a rundown going on in my head tonight.

I mailed the taxes because we couldn't e-file because we moved this year and me not being the brightest person alive, I totally didn't know you had to tell the tax office your new address before filing your taxes. Bloody hell.

Oh, but they are helpful.

Yes indeedy.

You can change your address online! Did we mention you have to register? Well, duh because this is pretty important information. So important that a secret code has to be mailed to your home and should show up in 5 business days.

Uh, hi. Taxes are due in two days. So don't have time to wait for the 'secret code'!

I then magically stumbled onto the fax number for the Tax office and how I could notify them of our address change that way. Phew.

Get all that done - sent Bob to work with typed up pages and signatures for the change of address and prepare to mail out our taxes. Which I haven't done in years because I have been e-filing. What did I forget? Bob's signature. So I had to drive out to the other house at 6pm and get him to sign his forms so that I could finally mail the fuckers off. Luckily I made it to the post office before they closed. I made it by minutes. I thought they were supposed to stay opened until midnight on the last day of April but apparently only a few do that.

Anyways.

I have no clue why I have to even file considering I didn't make any money this year but alas, I have to and it now costs a buck ten to mail this stuff. I'm not getting a cent back or paying them a cent but I have to pay to send in the paperwork.

Stupid.

Motivation!

I have lost pretty much every iota of motivation I have ever had. Just getting the energy up to do the laundry is too much. I'm totally off my game and I'm not sure what is going on. I think it's my lack of Bobby time - screws me up every time and it always gets bad near the end of a reno. Probably because all I hear is how it's going to be done by this weekend. Oh, I meant the first floor would be done. Okay, I really meant a 1/4 of the reno would be done.

Blergh.

What's weird is that since this is the third one Bob has done I already know that his time lines are way out of whack. I guess knowing something logically and experiencing it are two completely different things. Okay, that was a stupid thing to even type. Logically I know being hit by a baseball bat would hurt, actually getting hit by one, yeah.

Anything else?

Oh, can someone tell me how many people are posting over at Sybil's now? I'm thinking there are three including Sybil but I'm losing my place fast.

I also want a 'summer' blog template but I hate to leave this one behind. I'm telling you that front bird is totally me.

Other stuff cluttering the brain?

I have magazines that I have yet to thumb through. And I really really want to look through them and I know this because I now refuse to buy magazines just for the sake of having them. I used to buy O magazine and I loved every page but then I fell behind but I kept buying them. For two years.

Nipped that in the bud and now I only buy something if I really, really, really want to look through it and most of the stuff I buy is on design. Still I have about 12 magazines cluttering up space because I have yet to get to them.

Not good.

The TV show Drive wasn't on tonight and I'm wondering why. Okay, I may know why and if that's the reason I'm going to be pissed.

OH! I read five books in the month of April! I haven't read 5 books in a month in a few years. I would have to look that up to be sure but I'm so sure I'm not going to bother. So woohoo for me!

Also, of the books I have read this year 7 have been from authors I haven't read before.

Maybe it's not much to other readers but this is triple aces for me.

Okay, I'm off to figure out that laundry thing.

Aw, I'll miss seeing the bird! It makes me smile everytime I visit.

I guess it wouldn't be a surprise to say taxes weren't sent in on time this year. I just hope I don't owe this time round.
And five books - and all those different authors - thumbs up there Cindy

Good stuff on all the new authors Cindy! I've been the same way as well, reading many new authors. The bummer? Waiting for their next book to come out-I hate waiting.

Hiya Cindy! I'm pimping Twisted Kingdom since Kelley Armstrong is there with a contest.

We do all our taxes at an office because there is no way my brain could figure all that out. LOL.

Hey Cindy :D

well at least, your taxes are mailed... So, I'm just wondering, but what does Bob do? Build house and sell them? (you might have mentioned this earlier, but I'm too lazy to go back and check ^^; )

You know, that is great that you've read so much and so many new authors! Keep it up :D

Drive was cancelled last week. It seems if a new show doesn't have great ratings from the beginning, it's quickly dropped in favour of reruns (because we don't have enough of those!).

Kat o+ - I know! Even Bob gets a kick out of seeing it on the screen when he's walking by. I'm going to save the template somewhere so I can always revert back to it. Now I just have to find something else that's silly looking like me ;)

Kristie - thanks! I actually am starting to feel like I'm earning my 'avid reader' title back! Taxes - your son did them though right? At least they'll be filed.

Ames - I tell you that 50 list you have up is inspiring but I'm afraid I would have a panic attack! I keep looking over at the Keri Arthur books but I wanted to read the Chase next. What to do, what to do.

Mailyn - I'll be right over!

Nath - Bob is a full time sales manager for a plywood mill and then in his spare time we buy older homes, renovate them and put them back up for sale. I have no idea where Bob gets his energy because he will work in the office all day and then go to the worksite. My dad reminded me though that on the last two houses Bob got sick close to the finish. I know Bob doesn't know how to relax like normal people so I have to start keeping an eye on him and force him to rest when it gets bad. Yep, I married the real Ever Ready Rabbit - only he's much better looking ;)

And yeah, I'm happy about reading so many new authors and it wasn't like I was trying so that's good.

Caro - Frig. I knew it was going to be something like that! Meanwhile there is stuff like the Bachelor and Dancing with the Stars and Idol (okay I know there are a lot of people out there that love these shows but OMG!!) cluttering up my TV!!! I need to have a good sob now ;)

LOL hell I am losing track *g*

how many people are posting... tricky...

For the 'RTing at Home' there were quite a few guests but they were just that.. one time guest posts. And can I say how happy I am that I decided to go to Dallas not Houston. Geeze talk about a fucknut.

I am of course still posting ;). Lawson and Gwen have joined me as well, they mostly review but sometimes do other stuff.

The majority of guest author days are up on the schedule... most through November. With two 'line weeks' to be announced soon.

Oh and I think there are about to be some more contests (one being a book in a series you lurved) so if it comes about I shall email you *g*.

Not sure about July as far as RWA. I may line up some stuff just in case 'live blogging' is too much. And think I will post up some options on what to do and get some reader feedback on what readers would like to know more about. I am pretty sure I want to do all the publisher spotlights.

If it makes you feel any better my takes went through (by efile) @ 4am of the 18. I have already gotten my refund but still expect someone to yell at me for being 'late'

Sybil - I remembered the intros for Lawson and Gwen but then I thought I saw another intro and I was all 'holy crap!'. Then again, I tend to see things ;)

And I think the gov (at least up here) only comes after you if you owe them money. I told Bob I would send the taxes then next day and he freaked and said we would be fined. I have no clue to be honest but paying more money than I want to is not my thing.

Change your template? I love that bird. Do what you gotta do...I'm just sayin'.

My take on laundry: Dump the clothes, dump the suds, close the lid, pull the knob. Bang head repeatedly against wall. Repeat.
